Heat-resistant austenitic grades
310S / 309S Stainless Steel
310S and 309S are austenitic stainless steels considered for elevated-temperature oxidation resistance and heat-related fabrication. Grade selection depends on continuous or cyclic temperature, atmosphere, mechanical load and the governing design code.
Final material selection remains the responsibility of the project design authority. Confirm product form, governing standard and current availability with sales.

Selection note
Provide temperature range, cycle, atmosphere and design basis; a generic maximum-temperature claim is not sufficient for engineering selection.
Characteristics
- High chromium and nickel content relative to common 300-series grades
- Used for elevated-temperature oxidation resistance
- Available in sheet, plate and selected long-product forms subject to confirmation
- Performance depends strongly on atmosphere and duty cycle
